Rules for Dances


All school dances are open to Crown Point Central School Students from Grades 7 -12.

All school dances are governed by the following rules:

1. No students or guests will be allowed in the building without paying admission to the dance.

2. No students or guests will be admitted to a dance when the ticket selling ends one half hour following the beginning of the dance unless prior permission has been given by a chaperone.

3. No students or guests will be permitted to return to the dance once they leave the building.

4. Students or guests using alcohol/tobacco/drugs or displaying offensive behavior will be escorted to the office and the parent/guardian will be called to come and take the student home.

If the student is found under the influence of drugs/alcohol, the above rule will apply in addition to steps involved in the DRUG/ALCOHOL/TOBACCO Policy.

5. Students or guests will not loiter on school property and will observe all other rules of school conduct.

6. Posted rules regarding refreshments must be observed.

7. Guests are students from grades 7 -12 from other schools. Guests are also students who have graduated from Crown Point Central School within the past year. All guests must be previously signed in at the office.

8. A student wishing to leave the dance early must secure parental permission prior to signing out of the dance.
