District Budget Vote and Election June 9, 2020

The Crown Point Central School District Budget Vote and Election is scheduled for June 9, 2020 – voting will be by Absentee Ballot only.

A Budget Hearing will take place on June 2, 2020 at 7:00 p.m., for presentation of the Budget.

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 202.26 issued on Friday, May 1, 2020 by Governor Andrew Cuomo, all voting for the June 9, 2020 election will be done by absentee ballot such that the school district must send absentee ballots with a postage paid, return envelope to each “qualified voter.” A qualified voter is someone who is a US citizen, 18 years of age, a resident of the District for at least 30 days prior to the vote, and not disqualified by any reason set forth in NYS Election Law §5-106.

PERSONAL REGISTRATION
Anyone who meets the definition of a “qualified voter” but has not registered to vote, must do so by May 26, 2020, to receive an absentee ballot. A qualified voter may register with the county or with the School District.
