NOTICE OF ANNUAL BUDGET HEARING- BUDGET VOTE AND ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Budget Hearing of the inhabitants qualified to vote, of the Crown Point Central School District, Towns of Crown Point, Moriah, and Ticonderoga in the County of Essex, State of New York, will be held in the District Auditorium on June 2, 2020 at 7 p.m. according to Executive Order No. 202.26 and NYS Education Law.
A COPY OF THE PROPOSED SPENDING PLAN for the ensuing school year may be obtained by any taxpayer in the District during the seven (7) days immediately preceding the Annual Budget Hearing at the Crown Point Central School Superintendent’s Office by written or phone request. Please call 518-597-4200.
NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that By Executive Order 202.26, petitions may be in the form of self nomination with no signatures required. Submission for Board of Education candidates must be filed with the District Clerk by 4 p.m. on May 11, 2020. There are two (2) vacancies to be filled for a period of three (3) years. Incumbent(s) are: Terry Ross and Florence St.Pierre-Sears.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Annual Budget Vote and Election voting on the proposed budget for the 2020-2021 school year, on candidates for the Board of Education and on any other propositions, will take place by absentee ballot on Tuesday, June 9, 2020.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS (including Military ballots) will be mailed with a postage paid return envelope, returned to Crown Point Central School District Clerk by 5 p.m. on June 9, 2020.
