I was born and raised in Germany until the
age of four. My parents came to the USA with eight of their eleven children
in March, 1957. We began school in September of that year, speaking only
German. I graduated from Louis D. Brandeis High School in Manhattan’s upper
west side, and attended Hunter College, Plattsburgh State, and graduated
from the College of St. Joseph the Provider with certifications in N-6 and
Reading, K-12.
I am married with three children, all of whom graduated from
Crown Point Central School. I have been a teacher at CPCS since September,
1989, having taught students in Kindergarten, grades 2-4, and 6th
grade this school year. Having struggled to learn English, and everything
else about American culture, I know how difficult learning can be for some
students. I was motivated to become a teacher because I thought I could
help some of those struggling students. I enjoy teaching. |
